Four people allegedly used a stolen car to smash their way into two Wallan service stations before fleeing with cash and a cigarette lighter display.
According to the Eyewatch – Mitchell Police Service Area Facebook page, the ram raid style burglaries took place at the BP and Shell service stations between 1 and 2am on July 16.
Detective Senior Constable Tim Feben said the group allegedly used a stolen white Nissan Navara to ram doors at both service stations to gain entry.
Two women and a man went inside to look for items of value while the other man remained in the driver seat.
He said the group allegedly took a small amount of money from the till at the BP and a BIC cigarette lighter display stand from the Shell service station.
A stolen Nissan Navara was also allegedly used in an attempted theft at Essendon Fields on July 12 at about 4pm.
CCTV allegedly shows a woman who was wearing similar shoes and clothing to the woman depicted in the CCTV footage at the service station burglaries.
