Roselands service station held up by man armed with shortened rifle

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station at Roselands overnight.

A man armed with a shortened .22 rifle threatened an employee of the service station on Canterbury Road about 3am on Tuesday and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.

The employee, a 21-year-old man, was uninjured.

Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being as being 175cm to 180cm tall, of large build, wearing a blue, white and black hoodie, black track pants and white sneakers.

Anyone who may have information, dashcam or CCTV from the area and its surrounds at the time of the incident should contact Campsie Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
