Large stick used in multiple service station robberies in Adelaide’s west

A man has been arrested after allegedly using a ‘large stick’ to steal cigarettes, chocolate and groceries during two robberies just minutes apart.

The 29 year old reportedly threatened staff at a service station in Adelaide’s western suburbs with a large stick just after 7.30am.

He stole chocolate before leaving the scene on a pushbike.

He then entered a second service station just down the road at West Hindmarsh, once again threatening staff before stealing cigarettes, bread and eggs.

Police later arrested the man at an address on Grange Road, recovering all of the stolen goods.

He is expected to be charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
