Around 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon the man entered the Blackstone Street store and showed the 24-year-old male employee that he was armed with a knife.

The man went behind the counter, still weilding the knife, where he took cash from the register.

He left the store attendant physically uninjured and fled on foot.

The man was described as about 175 cm tall, medium build, short dark hair; wearing a dark navy-blue hooded jumper, long black pants and black shoes.

Police urge anyone who might know this man to come forward.
