Dubbo woman fined for failing to pay Caltex for fuel

A Dubbo woman who brazenly drove off without paying for fuel has been fined in court.

Kimberly Hope Ah-See pleaded guilty to one count of dishonestly obtaining property by deception when she faced Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.

According to a statement of agreed facts presented in court, the 30-year-old filled up a white Mitsubishi Magna at the Caltex Service Station in Bourke Street on July 12.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras filmed her about 10.20am as she put 62.99 litres of Vortex fuel in her car.

The bill came to $97.57 and Ah-See failed to pay it.

In the statement of agreed facts, police said they had recorded four “fail to pay” incidents involving the same vehicle Ah-See drove off from the Caltex in.

“It was most likely me,” Ah-See told police officers who spoke with her about the incident.

In court Magistrate Gary Wilson fined Ah-See $300 and ordered her to pay Caltex for the fuel.
